We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer to join our team. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist in preparing and cleaning construction sites before and after work.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth.
- Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, and other skilled tradesmen.
- Follow health and safety regulations to prevent hazards.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous construction experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand, kneel, and bend for long periods.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and punctuality.
- Education: No formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- License: A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation of materials.
Tasks
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites
