Truck driver Needed in Canada By L.S. Carriers

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Truck Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.

 Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely and safe manner.
  • Inspect and maintain the truck before and after each trip, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo as needed.
  • Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel, and maintenance.
  • Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members for smooth operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including securing loads and checking for hazardous conditions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous truck driving experience preferred.
  • License: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy cargo and handle long driving hours.
  • Skills: Strong navigation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Ethic: Punctual, responsible, and safety-conscious.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.

Tasks

  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

  • Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Communication systems experience

  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
