Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare Assistance:
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and other basic care tasks as needed.
- Organize playtime, educational activities, and outings to stimulate children’s development.
- Light Housekeeping:
- Perform light household duties such as tidying up children’s rooms, cleaning play areas, and washing dishes used during childcare.
- Help with laundry, including folding and putting away clothes.
- Meal Preparation:
- Assist with meal planning and preparation for children, ensuring nutritious and balanced meals.
- Feed children according to parents’ instructions and encourage healthy eating habits.
- Transportation and Errands:
- Accompany children to school, extracurricular activities, or appointments as needed.
- Run errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions, with or without children.
- Communication and Support:
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to children in the absence of parents.
Tasks
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Supervise and care for children
- Take children to and from school and to appointments
- Tend to emotional well-being of children
- Help children with homework

Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or related roles is preferred.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with children.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions from parents.
- Basic knowledge of child development and safety practices.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification may be required or beneficial.
- Additional training or courses in childcare or early childhood education is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work typically takes place in the family’s home, providing a comfortable and familiar environment for children.
- Flexible hours may be required, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays.
- Physical requirements include bending, lifting, and kneeling to attend to children’s needs.
